Maxine Brunie

Maxine Brunie, 88, of Sebring passed away at her home on Monday, January 27, 2014. Maxine was born in South Webster, Ohio on July 25, 1925 the daughter of the late Oscar and Maude (Smith) Russ; she was a graduate of South Webster High School and was a member of the Sebring United Methodist Church. Mrs. Brunie enjoyed many things including singing in the City of Flags Sweet Adeline Chorus, sewing, bowling and spending time with her family especially at the beach.
Survivors include her 4 children; Mona Henderson of Alliance, Lance (Michelle) Brunie of Sebring, Nanette Brunie of Vienna and Jeffrey (Kathy) Brunie of Mechanicsburg, PA, 7 grandchildren; Rachel, Courtney, Carly, Casey, Marnie, Chelsea and Emily and 4 great grandchildren; Alyssa Scott, Daniel Hyronimus, Aidan Brunie and Emma Monday. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ed Brunie whom she married on April 22, 1950 and passed in February of 2005, siblings; Lorainne, Carl, Donald, Virgil, Gilbert and Richard.
A funeral service will take place at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Gednetz-Ruzek funeral home in Sebring. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12-1 PM on Saturday.
