Michael Yoder

Michael W. Yoder Sr, 60, of Sebring passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at his home after a brief illness. Michael was born in Salem on October 10, 1953, the son of the late Willis E. and Mary Ida (Haberland) Yoder. He began working at the former Royal China during high school, from 1970-1985. He retired as a Sergeant from the Sebring Police Department after 21 years of service, where he was named Police Officer of the Year in 1985. Michael enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest, particularly enjoying riding his motorcycle in retirement.
Survivors include his two sons, Heath Lee Yoder and Michael W. Jr (Nichole) Yoder, a granddaughter Hailey Nichole Yoder and his significant other and former high school sweetheart Cindy Dalton. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers Bruce Gale Yoder and Douglas Carl Yoder.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Freer officiating. Friends may call from 12:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery.
