Mildred K. Holt, 86 of Sebring, passed away quietly on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at the home of her long time friend, Duke Iden surrounded by her family. Mildred was born on May 3, 1924 in Sebring the daughter of the late L.M. Eells and Margaret (Everhart) Eells. Mrs. Holt was a 1940 graduate of Sebring McKinley High School and also a graduate of the Cincinnati Bible College in 1947; she was a member of the Pine Lake Christian Church where she was a member of the Loyal Berean Class, and a past member of the Sebring Garden Club. Among her life long commitments were friends in need, Canton Christian Home and its outreach, Christian Church Missions and her children and grandchildren. Mildred was an inspiration to many and will be greatly missed by her family, her devoted caregivers and friends. Survivors include her two daughters; Suzanne Lynn Holt of Kent, Sheryl Lee Holt of Massillon a son James K. Holt of Hudson and 4 grandchildren; Lauren, Ally, Sammy and Mia. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and grand-dogs. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James H. Holt on May 24, 1988, five brothers Deryl, Dan, Art, Earl and John and four sisters Ila Kotzbacher and Dorothy Eells, Grace Workman and Evelyn Jackson. Services will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 1:30 PM at Pine lake Christian Church with Mike Bratten and Tom Palmer officiating. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 6-8 PM. Memorial contributions can be made in Mildred’s honor to the Pine Lake Christian Church, Alliance VNA/Hospice or the Charity of the donors choice. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
