Mildred "Millie" Sloat

Mildred “Millie” Earline Sloat, 87 of Alliance passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Alliance Community Hospital. Millie was born in Sebring on March 26, 1924 the daughter of the late Arthur and Ella (Smith) Boughner; she was a retired beautician and a member of Pine Lake Christian Church, she also was an avid animal lover. Survivors include her daughter Joan “Johnnie” (Eugene) McDonough of Sebring two granddaughters Kimberly (David) McMath of Micco, FL and Tracy (Vernon) Dick of Zachery, LA. She is also survived by two great grandchildren Travis Dick of Louisiana, Michael Dick of Sebring and two great great grandchildren Hunter McMath and J.W. Bigelow. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Sloat on January 3, 2005, a sister Irene Rose, a brother Clifford Boughner and a great grandson Stephen McMath in Sept of 2008. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Reich officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home the hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
