Mildred K. (Kitzmiller) Woolf

June 28, 1923 — March 1, 2018

Mildred K. Woolf, 94 of Sebring and formerly of Salem passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring. Millie was born on June 28, 1923 in Louisville, Ohio the daughter of the late Albanus B. and Eva Lucille (Finefrock) Kitzmiller. She was a graduate of Alliance High School and attended Mount Union College.

Millie was a life member of the Rosicrucian Order AMORC, serving as Master, Secretary, and Board Chairman in Youngstown, Ohio. At several AMORC seminars, she presented lectures on topics related to philosophy, mysticism, and the arts. As a member of the Salem First United Methodist Church, she was a teacher of Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, and sang in the church choir for many years. She also led Interfaith Dialogue Groups and taught Creative Journal Keeping at the Salem YWCA. She loved writing her own journals as well as illustrating her poetry with art. She also enjoyed scrapbooking, taking photos and creating 100s of photo albums. Traveling throughout the USA with family, and later, travels to Europe and Egypt were well documented. She also was a bicycle enthusiast on the Greenway Trails and loved ice skating. Listening to music and playing the piano brought much joy into her life. Last, but most important, Millie was a passionate Mother to her 4 children and a loving wife to her husband Bill.

Survivors include her children; Don R. Woolf of Salem, Vanessa (Bob) Boyd of Orange Park, FL, and Janet Gillis of Boardman, OH. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Woolf on March 15, 2011 and her son David.

A Memorial Service will be held on March 10, 2018 at Salem First United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM with Pastors P. Douglas George and David Parry officiating. The family will receive friends in the church Parlor following the service. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit. Memorial Gifts may be given to First United Methodist Church of Salem, 244 S. Broadway Street Salem, Ohio 44460 or Rosicrucian Order of Youngstown AMORC, P.O. Box 2912, Youngstown, Oh 44511.
