Olga Helen Brodzinski, 87 of Salem lived on Georgetown Road for over 50 years, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton. Olga was born on January 11, 1926 in Greentown the daughter of the late Max and Anna (Klapuch) Bednarek; she was the youngest of nine children. Olga was a 1944 graduate of Smithfield High School and a member of the Knox Senior Citizens. Survivors include her three children; Carol (Terry) Scott, William “Bill” (Connie) Brodzinski, Delores Macejko, 12 grandchildren; Rebecca Scott, Terry Scott Jr., Trevor Scott, Rachael Scott, Paul (Laura) Macejko Jr., Molly Macejko, Jake Macejko, Barry Brodzinski, Luke (Amelia) Brodzinski, Mitchell Brodzinski Jr., Brent Brodzinski, Christopher Brodzinski and two great grandchildren; Natalee and Parker Macejko. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband William Brodzinski whom she married on June 2, 1945 and preceded her on December 22, 2006, a son Mitchell Brodzinski, and eight brothers and sisters; Frank Bednarek, Ed Bednarek, Alice Wilczynski, Mary Sykora, Stella Ruzek, Max Bednarel, Betty Kaurich and Max Bednarek. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Kimball officiating. Friends may call on Monday, September 30, 2013 from 6-8 PM. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may send condolences and sign the guest register online at www.grfuneralhome.com.
