Oliver “Tex/Buddy” G. Hudson Jr., 94, of Sebring passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring. T Oliver “Tex/Buddy” G. Hudson Jr., 94, of Sebring passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring. Tex was born in Hearne, Texas the son of the late Oliver G. and Ellen (Crenan) Hudson Sr.; he graduated from Texas A&M University for whom he still was an avid Aggie Fan. He worked as a Sales Engineer in the Cleveland area for Clark Goodman Supply Company and Jay Instruments, he also worked at H&R Block for 20 years. Tex was a member of the Union Avenue United Methodist Church in Alliance; he participated in helping with VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) at Copeland Oaks, a member of the Alliance Senior Citizens, and was a former member of Kiwanis serving as President and Lt. Governor of the 23rd District in Ohio. In his leisure he enjoyed golf, crosswords, a good game of bridge or dominos; he also enjoyed keeping track of the family genealogy and working on his computer. Survivors include; his wife Eleanor “Sue” (Kneen) Hudson whom he married on July 5, 1975, two daughters; Candice “Candy” (Jeff) Scharver of Rougemont, NC, Patricia E. (Joseph) Lepak of Jefferson, ME, six grandchildren; Christopher (Kelly), Gwendolyn (Pete),Randi (Phil), Adam, Kyle and Colin and two great grandchildren; Isabella and Julia Mae. He is also survived by two step daughters; Anne Newton of Cambridge, MA, Laurie (Kevin) King of Towson, MD a step son Douglas (Abby) Newton of New Canaan, CT, 2 sisters Ruth Pieters of Claremont, CA, Mae Isenberger of Carrollton, TX and a brother Andrew (Kathy) Hudson of Memphis, TN. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother. A Memorial Service will be held at Copeland Oaks, Bennett Chapel on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at 2:00 PM with Rev.
