Oliver B. Pinkerton, age 82, of Sebring, passed away Sunday December 17, 2006 at Crandall Medical Center. He was born November 28, 1924 in Sebring, to the late Edwin and Elizabeth (Blucher) Pinkerton. He was a member of the Pine Lake Christian Church Mr. Pinkerton graduated from Sebring McKinley High School class of â42, and Lasalle Business College. He was employed at Robertson Heating Supply as accountant for 22 years retiring in 1990. Oliver was a US Army Air Corp Vet of WWII, flying 21 combat missions over Germany as a member of the 401st Airborne Group. He retired from the US Air Force Reserves in 1962, and was a life member of the VFW post 6730. He is survived by his wife Margaret (Hamilton) whom he married on Nov. 9, 1946, celebrating 60 years together, a daughter Trudy (Tim) Moose, son Michael (Birdie) Pinkerton, both of Sebring a brother Earl Pinkerton, and 3 grandchildren ,Shelly Pinkerton, Shawn (Michelle) Pinkerton and Melissa Moose all of Sebring and great grandson Zackary Pinkerton He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Floyd and Ray Pinkerton, a sister June Morrison and infant sister Agnes. Services will be held at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home in Sebring at 1:00 PM. Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006, with Thomas Palmer officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pine Lake Christian Church Building Fund.
