Patrick Gene Spinks

Patrick Gene Spinks Sr. , 78, of Beloit passed away at his home on Saturday, May 19, 2018. Gene was born in Salem, West Virginia on January 15, 1940 the son of the late Parley and Orpha (Powell) Spinks. He worked as a Truck Driver for various companies over the years retiring from Schwebel’s. Gene was a member of the Sebring American Legion and VFW. He enjoyed watching sports on TV especially football.

Survivors include his companion Gwen Book of the home, his children; Patrick (Valerie) Spinks Jr. of Oologah, OK, Christine Spinks of Alliance, JoLane (Greg) Rockwell of Beloit and Jesse (Lowry) Book of Garner NC. He is also survived by 12 Grandchildren and several great grandchildren, a Brother Joseph (Dee) Spinks, a Sister Joanne (Bob) Yeagley as well as many nieces and nephews and his beloved dogs, Scrappy and Abby. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Mary Jane Pratt.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown funeral home with Pastor Peggy Hawkins officiating. Visitation will be held the hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Burial will take place at Grandview Cemetery in Sebring.
