Paul Anthony Ceresna, 84, of Alliance went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 8, 2011 at Canterbury Villa of Alliance. Paul was born on May 17, 1927 in Alliance, Ohio the son of the late Paul and Grace (Whitlatch) Ceresna; he was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Salem and retired from the B & W Tubular Plant in Alliance where he worked as a draw bench operator. Paul was a US Army WWII Veteran; he enjoyed his trips to Penn and spending his spare time with his family and many friends at Canterbury Villa. He is survived by a son Paul (Debra) Ceresna of North Benton, a daughter; Gemma Heestand of Lowell, MI, another daughter of Beloit and a step daughter, 14 grandchildren; Bryan (Lori), Paul (Casey), Dylan and Chelsea Ceresna, Charmane (Brian) Bailey, Kim Schukert, James and Rick Heastand, Amy Hinerman, Paula Faulkner, Lee, William, Paula and Christine Funkhouser, several great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Besides his parents Paul was preceded in death by his wife Gertrude on July 30, 2011, a son Lee Funkhouser, two grandsons David Treharn Jr., Donald Funkhouser, and 2 brothers Donald Ceresna and Edward Rinehart. A Funeral Service will be held on, Friday, August 12, 2011 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home in Sebring at 11AM with father Bob Edwards officiating. Friends may call at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home on Friday, the hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Grandview Cemetery in Sebring.
