Paul E. McEldowney, age 81, of Canton passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at St. Luke Lutheran Home in North Canton. He was born in Smith Township on Feb. 8, 1926, the son of the late William W. and Emma Jane (Thompson) McEldowney Paul was employed by the L P Gas Co. of Alliance as a service manager until his retirement in 1988. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife Irene A. (Bloch) McEldowney whom he married on Nov. 14, 1947; daughter Lynne (Gene) Stieb of Canton and son Melvin (Tina) McEldowney of Oak Harbor, Ohio; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded by two brothers Dwaine and Willard; half sister Carrie Manley and half brother Walter Whitacre. Memorial Services will be held at Fairmount Memorial Park Chapel, Thursday, March 15, 2007 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Joseph Peters officiating. Arrangements include cremation.
