Pauline Lucille (Dallas) Benner, 93 passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Altercare in Alliance from complications of Alzheimers. She was born on November 8, 1921 in New Philadelphia, Ohio to Glenn and Verona (Allenbaugh) Dallas, she was a 1940 graduate of Alliance High School and worked in a Five & Dime Store in Alliance, (before becoming a full time wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother) a Bookkeeper for Benners Trucking and DJ for Westville Skating Rink and was extremely fond of Round and Square dancing. Pauline was a charter member of Carnation Sweet Adelines and a life time member of Mile Branch Grange. She enjoyed working in the yard, baking, and canning as well as traveling she made several trips to Florida, California and Nevada visiting her relatives. While she was a member of Sweet Adelines she traveled to Hawaii the Expo67 in Canada and Bermuda.
Survivors include her daughters, Carol J. Balfour of Salem, Patricia (Marshall) Postman of Reno, NV, a son Kenneth (Terry) Benner of North Benton, 8 grandchildren; Cindy, Bobbi, Jamie, Tina, Jeff, Samantha, Madelyn and Anthony and 20 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Hugh on Labor Day of 2006 her brothers James and Glenn and a son.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM. A Private Family Service will be on Monday and burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park.
