Pauline Mae Harlan, age 95, formerly of Alliance passed away at Crandall Medical Center on Friday, Feb. 16, 2007. She was born in Alliance, Ohio on March 12, 1911, to Peter J. and Flora Ella (Faloon) Haines. Pauline was a member of the Bethel United Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Alliance High School Class of 29’, and of Kent State University, she also attended Mt. Union College. Pauline was a member of the National & State Teachers Assoc. and the Retired Teachers Assoc... She was a 60 year plus member of the Mile Branch Grange #933, was the last surviving member of the L.B.F. (Let’s Be Friends) Club, and was active in and one of the founders of the Alliance chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Assoc. Pauline is survived by her 3 sons Wayne (Patsy) Harlan of Alliance; Ronald (Heidi) Harlan of San Jose, CA; and Lynn (Mary) Harlan of Sebring; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren She was preceded by her Husband Frank L. Harlan in 1984; brother Ross Haines and Sister Lucille Walter. Funeral services will be held at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home at 2:00 PM, Tuesday February 20, 2007 at 2:00 PM, with her grandson , Rev. Dr. Scott Ptak of Chattanooga, TN. officiating. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
