Pauline E. Trimmer Johnson, 95, of Four Oaks, NC passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Pauline was born on July 26, 1917, in West Virginia, the daughter of the late Lee and Rebecca (Godwin) Harris. Having lived in Sebring most of her life, (67 years) she remained close with school classmates, planning reunions and dinners. She grew up helping her mother and father as they were both deaf mutes. She was a very caring person who loved life and family and friends. Pauline taught signing for 18 years, taught Sunday school for 35 years, was a past President VFW Cross of Malta #6730 Auxiliary, a member of the Sebring Historical Society and was inducted into the Sebring Hall of Fame for Community Service in 2000. Ms. Johnson worked at 3 potteries in Sebring, Gem Clay being the longest and also worked at Alliance Auto. Survivors include her daughters Diane Carnessali of Sebring and Gwenyth R. (Patrick G. Spinks Sr.) Book of Beloit; four grandchildren, Patrick G. (Valerie) Spinks Jr., Christine Spinks, Jodine and Scottie Wright; 12 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three husbands, George Wright, Earl Trimmer and Paul Johnson; a son Dwain Wright, and a brother Oliver Harris. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday October 9, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home. Friends may call from 2-8 PM with the family present from 6-8PM on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery in Sebring. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home. Friends may send condolences and sign the guest register online at www.grfuneralhome.com.
