Phyllis Beck

Phyllis J. Beck, 70 of Salem passed away on December 12, 2013 at Hospice House in Poland, Ohio. Phyllis was born in Racoon, KY and July 26, 1943 the daughter of the late Lester and Hazel (Mercer) Goff. Phyllis enjoyed taking care of all people and things but especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and grandchildren. Survivors include her companion of 15 years Stephen Gresh of Salem, a daughter Kimberly J. (Richard) Cole of Salem, a son Derrek B. (Kathy) Beck of Akron and 6 grandchildren; Ian Cole, Derrek Cole, Brendan Cole, Conner Cole, Sydney Beck and Wade Beck. She is also survived by 3 sisters; Sheila Burnette, Sharon Lowe, and Karen Bentley and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband C. Wade Beck on Oct. 15, 1995 and a brother Ronnie Goff.
A Funeral Service was held on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home in Sebring with Pastor Rich Thewlis officiating. Burial took place at Damascus Cemetery.
