Ralph Dana Ashworth Jr

Ralph Dana Ashworth Jr., 41, of Beloit passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at Alliance Community Hospital surrounded by his family. Dana was born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 24, 1968, the son of Ralph D. and the late Dorothy (Porter) Ashworth Sr. He graduated from West Branch High School in 1986 and was the owner/operator of Ashworth Flagging Inc.; he also at one time worked as a police officer for the Sebring, Warren, Scio and Cadiz departments. Dana enjoyed riding his motorcycle and being in the outdoors with his family. Survivors include his father Ralph Sr. of Beloit, his fiancée Karilyn Ferrell, his children; Alex and Heather Ashworth, Jimmie Kincaid, Amber Early, Charles Lemley and Casey Coxwell, a brother Jerry Ashworth of Beloit and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother on May 29, 2007 and his brother Cory on December 21, 2008. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home at 12:00PM with Pastor Tom Stout officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 PM. Burial will be in Harrington Cemetery in Nelson Township, Ohio. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
