OBITUARY
Ray Gibbons

Ray Gibbons passed away on Thursday January 2, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Hospital Hospice/Concordia House in Cabot Pa. He was born April 22, 1928 in Salem Ohio. The son of James B Gibbons and Ethel (Toole) Gibbons, he was a lifelong resident of Beloit. He was a member of Westville Community Bible Church and Westville Lake Tired Men’s Golf League. Ray was an avid roller skater for fifty years and met and fell in love with his second wife while skating. He served on the Beloit City Council and served as Director of the Board of Public Affairs. He retired from Alliance Machine after 39 years. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Ray is survived by his wife Polly (Holmes) Gibbons of Grove City Pa, a son Kenneth R. Gibbons of Largo, Maryland and a daughter, Sherry Diane (Bruce) Mulder of Michigan, and two sisters, Treva Elder and Ruth Lyberger, granddaughters , Alaina Wilson and Hailey Mulder, step children Dixie and Steve, step grandchildren, Danielle and T J , and step great child , Ansley. He was preceded in in death by his parents and first wife Evelyn (Summers) Gibbons and granddaughter Brittany Nichole Mulder. A Funeral service will be held at 6 PM Monday, January 6, 2014, at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home, with Pastor Rod Doran officiating. Friends may call From 4 to 6 PM Monday. Burial will take place at a later time at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may send condolences and sign the guest register online at www.grfuneralhome.com.
