Raymond Morrison

Raymond E. Morrison, 94, of Sebring, passed away at Alliance Community Hospital on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008. He was born in New Philadelphia, Ohio on Feb. 7, 1914, the son of William George & Mary Ann (Butler) Morrison. Mr. Morrison was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alliance. He was employed as a kiln drawer for Gem Clay in Sebring, retiring in 1976. Raymond is survived by 3 daughters, Mardell (Willie) Richmond of Sebring; Linda (Richard) Hoffman of Marysville, Ohio; Viki (Jerry) Quinn of Sebring. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Terri (Richard) Miller and Jerry Lee (Lisa)Quinn both of Alliance; Christopher (Nichole) Quinn and Gerald Carver Jr. both of Sebring; Raymond (Michele) Carver of Damascus; Rick Hoffman of Cincinnati, ; Robin (Bernard) Valdez and Amy(Craig) Main both of Marysville, Ohio; and 16 great grandchildren In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Rachel Alberta (Hill) Morrison whom he married on April 18, 1936 and who passed away on May 1, 2001; three brothers William, Frederick and twin brother Norman; 6 sisters Gladys Brown; Alberta Mercer; Ruth Manypenny; Lillian Schroeder; Gertrude Mellingar and Mary Elizabeth Morrison. Funeral Services will be held at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, with Pastor Gordon Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Funeral Home one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Alliance, Ohio. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
