Rebecca Becky A. Domencetti, 76, of Salem, Ohio, died at 4:30 am Saturday, August 23, 2014, at the Saint Elizabeths Hospital in Youngstown, where she had been a patient. She was born on September 14, 1937 in Salem, Ohio, a daughter of the late Gustav Bonfert and Mildred (Moore) Bonfert and had resided in Salem and previously in Centerport, New York. Becky had been a life guard, elementary teacher and worked at the Greenlawn Public Library in Centerport, New York, retiring in 2001 before she and her husband returned to the Salem area. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Salem and a longtime member of the Centerport United Methodist Church in Centerport, New York; she had also been a member of the Womens Circles in New York and the 3-Ms Class and Health and Home Circle in Salem. Becky loved flower gardening, traveling throughout the world, sailing, cooking/baking and reading. But she especially enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Domencetti whom she married on September 6, 1958 of Salem, four children; Jamae (Peter) Tschenkel of Sterling, VA, Charles (Maria) Domencetti of Centerport, New York, Karen (Tim) Lyons of Warrenton, VA and Ann-Marie (Tom) Chang of Kings Park, New York. She is also survived by a brother, James (Judy) Bonfert of Salem, Ohio and grandchildren; Julianne (Jason) (Tschinkel) Brown, Nicole Tschinkel, Daniel Tschinkel, Arianna Domencetti, Jessica Domencetti and Ethan Chang.
