Richard Marion Beitler, 67, of Beloit, passed away at Mercy Medical Center at 1:05 PM on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008. He was born in Salem, Ohio on July 1, 1940, the son of the late Richard H. & Ann Esther (Passanen) Beitler. Richard was a member of the Damascus United Methodist Church and a graduate of Goshen High School Class of â58, attending YSU for 2 years. He was a retired Navy Vet. Mr. Beitler was employed as a warehouseman for Salem China retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Massillon Eagles # 190; Sebring VFW # 6730; Sebring American Legion # 76 and the Salem AMVETS. He also loved gardening. Mr Beitler is survived by 2 daughters, Kelly A. (Ed) Montgomery of Damascus; Brandie Lynn (Craig) Wade of Salem;1 son Richard B. Beitler of Sebring; 1 sister Sandra L. (Val) Piccoli of Alliance; his long time companion Carolyn Brubaker of Beloit; 6 grandchildren, granddaughters Felicia Fowler; Mackenzie Montgomery; grandsons Andrew Fowler; Chance Beitler; Kyle Wade, and Jesse Wade. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Lorena (Bauman) Beitler in 1995. Funeral Service will be held at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home at 1:00 PM, Tuesday January 29, 2008, with William McPherson officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park.
