Richard Carl

Richard “Dick” A. Carl, 55 of Youngstown passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital on November 26, 2014. Dick was born at Ft. McClellan, Alabama on August 23, 1959 the son of Elmer and Patricia A. (Archibald) Carl and A. Richard Hively. He was a graduate of United High School and employed by Something New Florist. He was previously employed at Summitville Tile and the Walmart Distribution Center. Dick enjoyed many things including, working on and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, skating and playing with his dog Cash. Dick gave the ultimate gift of life by being an Organ Donor.
Survivors include his mother, Patricia Anne (Archibald) Carl of Salem, his biological father Richard “Dick” Hively of Leetonia, step children Steven (Kelly) Cutler of Salem, Nancy (Shawn) Walters of Minerva and four grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers Steven (Carrie) Carl of Streator, Illinois, Jeffrey (Jen) Carl of Salem, Roger Carl of Salem, a sister Linda (Barry) Baddeley of Salem, nephews, many nieces and many friends. He is preceded in death by his father Elmer Carl, a brother Ronald Carl and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday December 1, 2014 at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Hydrick officiating. Friends may call the hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
