Richard E. Carver, 89 of Sebring passed away on Monday, May 11, 2015 at his home.  Mr. Carver was born in Boardman, Ohio on February 15, 1926 the son of the late Jesse L. and Maude Wilma (Bartholomew) Carver; he was a graduate of Deerfield High School Class of 1944; he served as a Petty Officer in the US Navy during WWII and attended Purdue University and Mt. Union College.  Richard was Plant Manager/Superintendent at the former Alliance Vulcanic Heater Company.  He was a member of the NRA, the American Legion Post 713 and VFW Post in Deerfield, he enjoyed spending most of his time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his children; Shirley (Richard) Etto of Sebring, Patricia Bryan of Sebring, Debra (Paul) Ceresna of North Benton, Richard J. (Sue) Carver of DeLand, FL, Ernest D. (Mary) of Grand, NC, Maurice L. of Sebring, Gary R. (Terri) of Deerfield, Brian S. (Debbie) of Deerfield, Loren K. of Sebring.  He is also survived by 38 grandchildren,  75great grandchildren, and 16 great great grandchildren a Sister Lenora Raider of Windham, OH and a brother Jesse Carver of Deerfield.  Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Barbara (Stanley) Carver, 2 sons Ronald, Dennis, a daughter Karen Bailey, 2 brothers Clifford, Donald and 2 sisters Amy Jones and Evelyn Cook.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday May 16, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Rev. Jodi Hill officiating.  Friends may call on Friday May 15, 2015 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will take place in Deerfield Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Salem Honor Guard.  Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.  Friends may send condolences and sign the guest register online at www.grfuneralhome.com.
