Richard Charles Ewing, age 68, of Louisville, Ohio died at the Alliance Community Hospital ER on Wednesday, April 2, 2008. He was born in Alliance on Feb. 2, 1940, the son of Richard D. and Audrey Lucille (Polen) Ewing. Richard was a member of the Sebring Presbyterian Church. He was the owner/operator of Alliance Ewing Motors from a1969 to 1986. He retired from Ewing Chrysler Dodge and was the owner/operator of Ewing Construction from 1986 to 2000, from which he retired. He was a member of the United States Power Squadron which is a Stark County Boating Club, the Alliance Elks # 407 and the Taylorcraft Flying Club at Tri City Airport. Mr. Ewing is survived by his wife Mary Jean (Wilson); two sons Jeffrey Ewing of Chesterland, Ohio; Randall (Becky) Ewing of Alliance; one brother Harry James (Suzanne) Ewing of Morgan Hill, CA; half brother Gerald William (Karlene) Ewing of Beloit; and two step brothers Cy (Mary) Stallman of Alliance and Mark (Debbie) Stallman of Rockvale TN. He is also survived by his four grandchildren; granddaughter Angela Ewing and grandsons Matthew, Preston and Mitchell Ewing and several nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, brother Thomas Paul Ewing, step mother Lena Haenny and daughter in law Loraine Ewing. Funeral services will be held at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Monday April 7, 2008 with the Rev. Christine Zeim officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery in Sebring. Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
