Richard Hands

Richard L. Hands, 60, of Salem passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at Aultman Hospital. Richard was born in Alliance on January 27, 1954, the son of Robert and Evelyn (Bennett) Hands. He served as a SGT 1st Class in the US Army retiring on January 27, 2014. Richard worked at American Standard, was a member of the Assembly of God in Lisbon, served as President of Local USW, was a member of the Sebring VFW, and the US Army was his passion. He enjoyed working with wood and attending sporting events, “Browns” and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his parents Robert and Evelyn (Bennett) Hands of Elyria, Ohio and his loving children, grandchildren and brothers.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday February 15, 2014 at 6:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home. Friends may call two hours prior to the service from 4-6 PM at the funeral home. Private interment services will take place in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
