Richard Franklin "Dick" Lee passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025. Born on February 5, 1931, in Alliance, Ohio, he was the son of the late Frank T. and Erma (Andrews) Lee.
Richard is survived by his dear wife Phyllis and the couple recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on March 5th. He is also survived by four children - Amy, Esther, Ken (Nancy) and Rob - ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Richard was preceded in death by his beloved son Richard "Dickie" Lee, his brother Sam Willis and sister Sara Taylor.
Richard proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Army and served in Korea from 1952-54. He then attended Bluffton University where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 1957. While at Bluffton Richard played offensive tackle and was proud to have played on Bluffton's first team that went undefeated in conference play in 1956. He also played with several future NFL players.
Richard was a member of both the American Legion and V.F.W., and had previously served in the Lion's Club, the local parks and recreation board, and Sebring athletics booster club. He could always be counted on to contribute to worthy causes, loved feeding the squirrels around his house, and especially loved the comaraderie he shared with friends both young and old.
Thanks to all who knew and loved "Mr. Lee".
