Richard Schaffer

Richard L. Schaffer, 70 of Beloit, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Alliance Community Hospital. Dick was born in Alliance on December 9, 1939 the son of Eugene and Dorothy (Sefert) Schaffer. Richard was a member of the Tri-County Church of God in Salem. Survivors include his wife Dorothy (Ferguson) Schaffer whom he married on August 18, 1972 of Beloit, his mother Dorothy Schaffer of Westville Lake, four sons; Cary L Schaffer of Sebring, Kevin L. Schaffer of Sevakeen Lake, Jeffrey L. Barnett of Salem, Douglas L. (Kimberly) Schaffer of Westville Lake, two daughters; Wendy A. (Gert) Hoinle of Germany and Amy (Russell) Brogan of Thomasville, GA. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren a brother Timothy Schaffer of Westville Lake and a sister Jill Simone of Louisville. Mr. Schaffer was preceded in death by his father and a son Dirk Schaffer. Per Dick’s wishes there will be no services. Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home in Sebring is handling the arrangements.
