Richard Schubert

Richard William Schubert, 71 of Beloit passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton. Richard was born in Alliance on April 9, 1942 the son of the late Sebastian and Esther May (Skelding) Schubert; he was a US Marine Corps veteran and retired as a Rail worker for Conrail. Mr. Schubert enjoyed traveling many roads looking for the most interesting pieces of farm machinery.
Survivors include his daughter; Tonya (Don) Schubert Baier of Homeworth, 4 grandchildren; Nathan Schubert, Hannah Schubert, Rachel Baier and Kristen Baier. He is also survived by two brothers Elmer (Pat) Schubert of Sebring, George (Shirley) Schubert of Alliance, 3 sisters Elizabeth Peloso of Alliance, Patricia Aberegg of Sebring, and Esther Mae (Frank) Dowd of East Palestine. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother John Skelding, a sister Maryann Lemasters and an infant brother.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday April 9, 2014 at 12:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Kimball officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday April 8, 2014 from 6-8 PM and the half-hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Sebring. Military honors will be provided by the Salem Honor Guard. Friends may send condolences and sign the guest register online at www.grfuneralhome.com.
