Richard Stiffler

Richard Carl Stiffler, 83, of Salem passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring. Richard was born in Salem on June 11, 1926 the son of the late Chester and Dorothy (Wilson) Stiffler; he graduated from Salem High School and was a US Army veteran serving during WWII and the Korean War eras. Mr. Stiffler retired from the US Postal Service working out of the Salem Post Office. He was a former member of the Salem VFW and UCT; he enjoyed watching sports, playing cards and just spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife Mary (Fujii) Stiffler of Salem, a son Gary (Debra) Stiffler of Franklin, Massachusetts, a daughter Diane (Dan) Uyselt of Beloit and five grandchildren; Marc Stiffler of Orlando, Eric Stiffler of Boston, Traci Stiffler of Franklin, Jase Uyselt and Kyle Uyselt both of Beloit. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Charles Eugene Stiffler. Friends may call at Brown Funeral Home on Friday, January 15, 2010 from 5 to 7 PM.
