Richard "Dick" David Flowers

Richard “Dick” David Flowers, 68 of Beloit passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Akron General Hospital. Dick was born in Alliance, OH on October 13, 1947 the son of the late Wilford and Ida (Reggi) Flowers he was a graduate of Sebring High School, a US Army Vietnam Veteran and worked at GM Lordstown for over 30 years. He attended Beloit Friends Church, enjoyed the outdoors; going to ball games and all kinds of live sporting events.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years Carolyn “Sue” (Apple) whom he married on July 8, 1977, his children Jarrod Flowers of Alliance, Amy (Chris) Tolley of North Benton, Laren (Mike) Bodnar of Canton, Michael (Dena) Flowers of Sebring and Daniel (Anisa) Flowers of Youngstown. He is also survived by four grandchildren; Jay, Alicia, Mika, Felicity and his siblings Kenny Flowers, Terri Wilson and Debbie Galchick. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Jimmy.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 22, 2016 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Reich officiating. Friends may call from 4-6 PM on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the funeral home and a half hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit with full military honors provided by the Salem Honor Guard.
