Rita Myers

Rita Marie Myers, 90, of Alliance, formerly of Beloit, passed away on July 16, 2013 at Alliance Community Hospital. Rita was born on October 20, 1922 in Vickery, Ohio, the daughter of the late Alfred and Cecilia (Kromer) Durnwald. A lifelong area resident, she was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, where she was a past member of the Rosary Society. Rita enjoyed gardening and cooking for family and friends. Survivors include three sons, Dennis (Patricia) Myers of Beloit, Steven (Beth) Myers of Alliance, Brian (Rebecca) Myers of Alliance; five grandchildren, Scott, Johnson of North Carolina, Jennifer Myers of Columbus, Matthew Myers of Seattle, Washington, Kyle and Logan Myers of Alliance and five great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harlan W. Myers, daughter Janice Johnson, and four brothers. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home officiated by Fr. James Korda. Friends may call the hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Grandview Cemetery.
