Robert Grove Sr

Robert W. Grove Sr., 86, of Beloit, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at his home. Robert was born in Beloit on February 10, 1924 the son of the late William Francis and Sarah Gertrude (Buckman) Grove; he graduated from Goshen High School and served in the US Army during WWII. Mr. Grove worked as a Bus Driver and Farmer; he attended Fellowship Baptist Church and was a lifelong Beloit resident. Survivors include his two sons; Robert W. (Karen) Grove Jr. of Bowling Green, OH, Michael J. (Annette) Grove of Beloit, four grandchildren; Jamie Hullinger, Jason Grove, Abbie Choleva, Kevin Grove, and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters; Elizabeth Stoffer, Kathryn Kelly and two brothers; George Grove and Clifford Grove. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Gloria (Morrow) Grove in 1990, two brothers; John Grove, Alfred Grove and three sisters; Gertrude DeVall, Hazel Kilchenman and Ada Albright. Services will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Beloit with Pastor James White officiating. Burial will take place in North Georgetown Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday the hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made in Mr. Grove’s honor to the Fellowship Baptist Church, 18320 5th Street Beloit, OH 44609.
