Robert "Bob" Helmick

Robert “Bob” L. Helmick, 65, of Sebring also known as “Honey Boy” to family and friends passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Canterbury Villa in Alliance. Bob was born in Norton, West Virginia on March 30, 1946 the son of the late Ray and Bessie (Delaughter) Helmick; he was a US Navy Veteran and worked for Logan Trucking. Survivors include his wife Bonnie (Scott) Helmick of Sebring, six children Robert (Rachael) Helmick Jr., Gary (Mellisa) Helmick, Arminta (Jennifer Kapalko) Sanor all of Sebring, Tommy Helmick of Fairmont, WV, Lori Helmick Sobel of Winchester, VA and Mathew Helmick of Elkins, WV; he is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 2 brothers Charlie Helmick and Jerry Helmick both of West Virginia and a sister Betty Rock of Colorado and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by 2 sisters and a brother. Services will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Lanham officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 17th from 2-8 PM. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
