Robert Metzgar

Robert A. Metzgar, 78 of Salem passed away at his home on Monday, March 25, 2013. Robert was born in Pennsylvania on October 6, 1934 the son of the late John W. and Lena (Kozar) Metzgar. He worked as a Machinist and Truck Driver for many years. He enjoyed playing golf, going fishing, camping, car racing and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. But he especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his children; Julia Barton of Salem, Debra Fuson of Salem, Marilyn (James) Winters of Rogers, Robert W. Metzgar of Salem and Stacy (Denver) Marks of Damascus, 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He is also survived by five brothers James, Gene, Gary, Kenny, and John Metzgar, a sister Jackie Wood and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son Wayne, three brothers; Ray, Dave and Richard and three sisters; Sally, Pat and Delores. A funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Brown Funeral Home in Salem at 1:00 PM. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday two hours prior to the service.
