Robert Ockerman

Robert Lee Ockerman, 76, of Massillon formerly of North Benton, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Roselane. Robert was born in Youngstown on March 10, 1936, the son of the late Myron A. and Alice Ann (Jacobs) Ockerman. Mr. Ockerman served for 28 years in the Air Force/Air Force Reserves as a navigator, serving in Vietnam, retiring as a Lt. Colonel and also worked as a salesman. He was a devoted member of AA and an avid Mount Union fan. Survivors include his three daughters; Amanda Lyn & Leggs Leggio of Kunkletown, PA, Lisa Marie & Dean Griffin of Navarre, Maryann Jean & Burgess Warren of Key Largo, FL; six grandchildren; Sean Anderson, Amanda Griffin, Kristen Anderson, Kayla Griffin, Zoe Warren and MacKenzie Warren. He is also survived by his sister Patti Ann Zellers of Mercer, PA and a brother James A. Ockerman of Monaca, PA A funeral service will be held on Tuesday January 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Gednetz Ruzek Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Kimball officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home the hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will take place in Canfield Cemetery.
