OBITUARY
Robert (Bob) W. Rockwell
Robert W. Rockwell Sr. 82, of Beloit, Ohio passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2014, in Salem Ohio. Bob was born in Paden City, West Virginia on September 3, 1931, the son of the late Alden Brady and Lucille (Forrester) Rockwell. He worked as a scheduling clerk at GM Lordstown retiring in 1987 as well as canteen manager at the American Legion Post 76 in Sebring. Bob also served in the Army during the Korean War. Bob was a member of the American Legion Post 76 and VFW in Sebring and served as Smith Township Constable. He enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest, particularly enjoying Bowling, the Browns, Indians and Ohio State. But most of all he love spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren, and playing with his dogs Chrissy, Toby, Kody, Katie.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years Jean (Perkins) Rockwell whom he married on November 9, 1957. His children; Robert (Lisa) Rockwell Jr. of Homeworth, Scott (Julie) Rockwell of Salem, Terry (Candy) Rockwell of Salem and Greg(JoLane) Rockwell of Beloit, Debra (Steven) Edie of Damascus, Jill (Richard) Abbuhl of Deerfield. He is also survived by; grandchildren Steven Jr., Sean, Brandon, Alicia, Rachel, Kyle, Christopher, Jeff, Jamie, Tylor, Joely, Alexis, Andrew, Alea, Jenna, Gregory Jr., Grady, Bailey, Evan, and Zoie and great grandchildren; Sydney, Olivia, Jaedyn, Isabella and Zander. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Ross Rockwell and two sisters Ada Longenetta and Betty Kiser.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday September 4, 2014 at 6:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Kimball officiating. Friends may call from 3:00 6:00 PM with the family present from 4:00 PM till the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
