Robert Swallow

Robert Everett Swallow, 86 of Beloit passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Youngstown after a long struggle. Born on May 24, 1928 the son of the late Everett and Bertha Swallow he was raised in Alliance, Ohio and was a 1947 graduate of Alliance High School. Mr. Swallow retired from Alliance Machine and was a former member of the Goat Hill Club, a member of the Homeworth Masonic Lodge #499, Tadmor Shrine Club, the Alliance Shrine Club where he was a member of the Flag Unit, Mile Branch Grange and Bethel United Church of Christ. Before his illness took over he would most likely be remembered for always handing out pieces of hard candy to waitresses, children or anyone he thought he could make life better by having something sweet.
Survivors include;a daughter Linda (Allan) Milliken of Damascus, two sons; Larry (Carol) Swallow and Lee Swallow both of Salem; six grandchildren; Carrie (JF) Swallow Babitsky, Benjamin (Renee) Swallow, Robert (Kate) Swallow, Aaron (Jenifer) Milliken, Amy Beckett and Alex Milliken, eight great grandchildren; Blake Swallow, Katherine, Jackson and Mason Babitsky, Mirabella Beckett, Sydney, Josie and Truss Milliken. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by the love of his life Donna J. Swallow in 2007, two sons; Lon E. Swallow in 1981 and Lynn C. “Ace” Swallow in 1988.
A Funeral Service will be held at Gednetz-Ruzek funeral home in Sebring on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Haan Phelps officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3, 2014 from 7 to 9 PM with a Masonic Service at 6:30 PM, friends may also call a half hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will take place in Grandview Cemetery in Sebring.
