Robert âBobâ Warner VanDyne, 86 of Atwater passed away at his home on Friday, April 26, 2013 with his family by his side. He was born in Jacobsburg, OH on February 6, 1927 the son of the late Samuel W. and Ella (Davis) VanDyne he was a graduate of Powhatan Point High School and attended Business College in Wooster, he was a United States Navy Veteran serving as a Fireman. Bob served as a Cub Scout Leader and worked in the construction business, but loved to minister to people and enjoyed bringing them to the Lord, he also worked in Jail Ministry and Haven of Rest Ministries. Survivors include his wife of 53 years Mary L. (Dufford) VanDyne of Atwater whom he married on July 3, 1959, 4 sons; Robin (Yolonda) Vandyne, Christopher (Talyana) VanDyne both of Atwater, Robert (Tami) VanDyne of Kent and Kevin (Erriga) VanDyne of Atwater and 7 grandchildren. He is also survived by 6 siblings, and 4 children to a previous marriage. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by an infant son Franklin Eugene and 9 brothers and sisters. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Bethel Baptist 745 N. Freedom Street Ravenna, OH at 1:00 PM, with Dr. David W. Ballert officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, the hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place in Atwater Cemetery. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
