Robert "Bob" Woodworth

Robert Woodworth, 81 of Salem passed away on Friday, December 10, 2010 at Hospice House in Poland with his family at his side. Bob was born in Salem on May 1, 1929 the son of the late Harry R. and Esta (Diehl) Woodworth; he was a US Marine Corps Veteran and worked at Hunt Valve for 38 years and in retirement served as a greeter and assistant at Brown Funeral Home. Survivors include his son Rodney Woodworth of Salem, three grandchildren; Michael (Shawna) Solmen, Rod (Candi) Solmen, Ashley (Justin) McVay, 11 great grandchildren and a sister Joyce Guiler of Salem. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Janice (Frantz) Woodworth whom he married on May 14, 1949 and passed on April 14, 2004, a daughter Janice Solmen who passed on February 16, 2007, a grandson Mark Solmen who passed on February 10, 2008 and an infant sister Helen. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Brown Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with Pastor Lou Raymond officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 6-8 PM.
