Rolland Stryffeler

Rolland William Stryffeler, 89, of Beloit, passed away on May 10, 2013 at his home. He was born on June 23, 1923 in Beloit, the son of the late Frank William and Pauline (Luginbuhl) Stryffeler. A lifelong area resident, he was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ, a 25 year member of the Columbiana County Fair Board, Farm Bureau Council member, and Good Sam Camping Club. He cherished his family and Swiss Heritage and loved fishing, camping, woodworking and wrote many poems. Rolland is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marjorie Stryffeler, sons Robert (Susie) Stryffeler, Dale (Kathy) Stryffeler, a daughter Patricia (Keith) Serafy; 11 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. In addition to his parents, Rolland was preceded in death by his stepmother, Mae Stryffeler, brother Leonard Stryffeler, step-brother Russell Bower and a step sister Evelyn Sanor. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday May 14, 2013 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Rev. Haan Phelps officiating. Friends may call on Monday May 13, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM with the family present from 6-8 PM. Burial will take place in Bethel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel United Church of Christ, 25701 Buck Rd. Beloit, OH 44609.
