Ronnie "Rod" Draper

Ronnie Lee “Rod” Draper, 64, of Deerfield and formerly of Wayne City IL, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 in Evansville IN at his brother’s home. Rod was born in Wayne County Illinois on November 9, 1945 the son of the late Harry “Ace” and Norma (Turner) Draper Jr. Survivors include his daughter Ronda Joy Draper of Deerfield, a son Matthew Draper of Geff, IL and three grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters; Jean (Donnie) Downen of Wayne City, IL, Eva (Bill) Hinkle of Fairfield, IL and three brothers; Ace “Short” (Betty) Draper/Madang of Papua, New Guinea, Jack Draper of Evansville, IN and Marty (Staci) Draper of Apple Valley, CA. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Joy (Kisea) Draper on August 23, 2006 and a son Brandon L. “Bud” Draper on July 8, 2008. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home at 2:00 PM. Burial will take place in Deerfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to the service. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
