Rosemary Schwingle

Rosemary T. Schwingle, 78 of Salem, passed away on Friday June 3, 2011 at her home. Rosemary was born on August 5, 1932 in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Ernest L. and Rose M. (Rodenkirch) Gibson. Mrs. Schwingle was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy Class of 1950 in Prairie du Chien, worked for 20 years at H.R. Block and delivered mobile meals from the Salem Hospital; she was also involved in volunteering for the Sebring Community Dinners and frequently visiting Copeland Oaks. Rosemary was a Member of St. Ann Catholic Church participating in the Altar Rosary Society. She was a member of the West Branch Women’s Ruritans, and a volunteer for the Mahoning County Red Cross Blood Mobile. Rosemary will be remembered as always being there with a helping hand. Survivors include her two daughters; Debbie (Ray) Neuberger of Strongsville, Ohio, Mary Rose (Leonard) Mueller of Elyria, Ohio, four sons; Dennis J. of Sebring, David E. of Carrollton, Daniel W. (Deb) of Damascus and Kenneth J. Jr. (Mindy) of Damascus; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Sister Mary Frances Therese Gibson SSND, and Sister Mary Ernest Gibson SSND, both of Elm Grove, Wisconsin. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth J. Schwingle Sr. on November 24, 1981, two infant daughters, a sister Cecilia Nystrom and a brother Ernest Gibson Jr. Services will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Ann Catholic Church with Father Thomas Dyer officiating. Interment will take place in St. Clements Cemetery, Lancaster, Wisconsin. Friends may call one hour prior to the mass at the church with a rosary service being held at 9:30 AM. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Rosemary to Salem Hospital Meals on Wheels 1995 East State Street Salem, OH 44460, School Sisters Notre Dame 13105 Watertown Plank Rd. Elm Grove Wisconsin 53122, or Hospice of the Valley 5190 Market St. Youngstown, OH 44512. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
