Russell Wyss

Russell C. “Buss” Wyss, 90 of Beloit passed away at his home on Saturday, September 27, 2014. Mr. Wyss was born in Winona on November 13, 1923 the son of the late Cleveland S. and Ora (Stoffer) Wyss. He was a US Army veteran serving from 1943-1946 and a member of Bethel United Church of Christ. He worked for B&W and Alliance Machine. Buss was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Sebring, Sebring Colorguard, and the American Legion in North Georgetown. He loved Ohio sports; being an avid Indians, Browns, Cavs and Ohio State fan, enjoyed feeding birds, gardening, hunting morel mushrooms but most of all spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Survivors include his three daughters Karen Roudabush of Alliance, Pam Mulinix of Beloit, Cindy (Ron) Raga of Beloit; a son Chuck (Barbara) Wyss of London, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. He is also survived by two son-in-laws, David Williams of Beloit and Kenny Miller of North Jackson. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte (Fox) on February 25, 1999, whom he married on October 13, 1943, two daughters Barb Williams and Paula Miller, three brothers Ralph, Florian, Woody, three sisters Naomi Boyle, Audie Hardy, and infant Evelyn Wyss.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 12:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek funeral home with Rev. Haan Phelps officiating. Visitation will be held the two hours prior to the service from 10 AM – 12:00 PM. Burial will take place at North Georgetown Cemetery with military honors being provided by Salem Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Buss’s honor to Hospice of the Valley 5190 Market Street Youngstown, Ohio 44512.
