Ruth Blake

Ruth (Baddeley) Blake, age 83, of Alliance passed away at her residence, surrounded by her family, Thursday, June 4, 2009. She was born on May 13, 1926 in Alliance, Ohio to the late Albert E. and Axie (Hiner) Baddeley. Ruth was a homemaker who loved crocheting and conversing with friends. She loved her family, friends and grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters Sonya (Mike) Hawkins of Nitro, W Va ;Roberta (Curt) Kidd of Damascus; two sons Jack Blake Jr. and Dwaine (Teresa) Blake Sr. both of Alliance; two sisters Carol Craig and Roberta Higgins and three brothers Thomas and Wade Baddeley of Alliance and Burwell Baddeley of Sebring and numerous grand children and great grand children. Mrs. Blake was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack Blake on 1-1- 2003; two sons Rickey Blake on 2-10-1988 and Elijah Blake on 1-26-2004; five sisters Nancy Blake, Minnie Kinnard, Donna Williams, Barb Johnson and Catherine Baddeley, and five brothers James, Jack, Dave, Delbert and Albert Baddeley. Services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Kimball officiating. . Friends may call on Monday 6-8-2009 from 2 to 8 pm with the family present from 6 to 8 pm. Burial will be in Alliance City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
