Ruth Mceldowney

Ruth McEldowney (nee Wallace), 95, of Salem and formerly of Sebring, passed away on January 13, 2013 at Auburn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salem. Ruth was born on October 8, 1917 in Dunmore, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Ira and Kathryn (Ferris) Wallace. She was a member of the Sebring Friends Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, and past member of the Sebring Council of Churches and the Alliance Music Study Club. She also worked at her families Greenhouse business for many years. Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie (Robert) Anderson of Alliance, two grandchildren Tiffany (Richard) Davis of Leetonia and Kristen (Dwaine) Everett of Salem, six great grandchildren; Evan, Ian Davis, Austin, Nicholas, Reed and Oneal Everett. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dwain McEldowney whom she married on August 12, 1939 and past away on October 9, 1990. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at The Highland Memorial Park Chapel officiated by Pastor Quaint Bryant. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park.
