Ruth Stoddard

Ruth Alma Stoddard 87, of Salem passed away Monday morning, August 22, 2011 at her home. Ruth was born in Salem on March 9, 1924 the daughter of the late George W. and Ollie Mae (Gardner) Jones; she was a graduate of the 1942 senior class of Leetonia High School and worked at Timberlanes in Salem for over 30 years, she also enjoyed spending her time with her family and friends. Survivors include her children; Gary (Susan) Stoddard of Beloit, Linda (Chuck) Hertel of Salem, Jill (Michael) Abdoo of Salem, Janie Allison of Salem, 9 grandchildren, 3 sisters Ferne, June and Wilma and a brother Arthur. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son Nelson and several brothers and sisters. A Time of Sharing will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Brown Funeral Home at 11:30 AM friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 10-11:30AM. Burial will take place in Hope Cemetery.
