Ruth Wise

Ruth A. Wise, 89, of Sebring passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at her home. Ruth was born on May 27, 1923, in Cleveland, the daughter of the late Walter C. and Coletta (Rohrbach) Bernard. Ruth graduated from Parma Shaft High School in 1941. She was a resident of Sebring since 1948, a member of St. Ann Catholic Church where she served as secretary for 22 years and was a member of the church choir. Mrs. Wise also worked at Roger Johnston Insurance Agency as a secretary for 7 years and was a member of many community organizations including: Copeland Oaks Grounds and Art Committees, Alliance Senior Chorus, Copeland Oaks Chorale, Salvation Army Board, Sebring-West Branch Community Foundation and the Sebring Historical Society. She enjoyed traveling, camping and gardening. Survivors include her daughter Christine (Allan) Wise Paul of South Carolina; three grandsons, Andrew Paul of Syracuse, New York, Kevin Paul of Columbus, Ohio and Jeff Heddleson of Charlotte, North Carolina. Ruth is also survived by two sisters, Catherine Dunkle of Valley City, Ohio, Rita Taddie of Parma, Ohio special friends Connie Weaver and Cathy Evans. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Donald W. Wise, a daughter Patricia Heddleson, a brother Jack Bernard and dear friend of 12 years, Bruce Wiegel. A funeral mass will be held on Friday August 24, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Ann Catholic Church with Father Thomas Dyer officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
