Sandra J. (Stevens) Herman, current resident of Salem, Ohio and former longtime resident of Kenton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on February 8, 1942, in Salem, Ohio, she dedicated her life to education, serving as a teacher and private tutor. Her commitment to education left an indelible mark on the lives of numerous students throughout her career.

A proud graduate of Salem High School, Sandra furthered her education at Youngstown State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Her passion for learning extended beyond the classroom; she was an avid reader and had a deep love for music, often expressed through her talent at the piano.

Family gatherings were a cherished part of Sandra's life, especially the vibrant 4th of July celebrations at the Country Club, where her warm spirit and joyful presence brought people together. She nurtured her love for community as a former member of the Kenton First United Methodist Church and as a current active member of the Salem First Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Deacon. She participated in various church activities and boards, and inspired young minds as a Sunday School teacher.

Sandra's commitment to community service extended to her involvement in Bridge Clubs and the Lions Club, highlighting her dedication to fostering connections and supporting those around her.

Sandra reunites in peace with her husband Paul M. Herman, whom she married on August 24, 1963, and who preceded her in death on October 27, 2017, her parents Phillip Wynn Stevens and Verna Eleanor (Lippiatt) Stevens, her sister Lorraine Michelle Brinker, and her brother-in-law George Csehill.
