Sandra K. Shell, born on March 16, 1954, in Alliance, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home on November 15 2024, in Salem, Ohio. Sandra was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother known for her caring nature and commitment to her family and friends throughout her life.
For many years, Sandra worked as a nurse's aide at Oakhill Manor, where her compassion and dedication shone brightly. Her career was not merely a job but a calling that allowed her to touch the lives of countless individuals with her kindness and support.
Sandra cherished the moments spent with her family, particularly enjoying camping trips that created lasting memories. She was also an avid flea market and garage sale hunter, a pursuit that brought her joy and the thrill of discovery. A passionate collector, she took great pleasure in her collection of Fenton glassware, a testament to her appreciation for beauty in everyday life.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Bobby Shell, whom she married on January 23, 1971. Their partnership was a celebrated bond of love and companionship. Sandra is also survived by her three sons, Bobby (Terri) Shell Jr., Michael (Natalie) Shell, and Steven (Helen) Shell, each of whom will carry forward her legacy of kindness and strength. Sandra adored her 12 grandchildren-Bryon, Dwight, Dalton, Ashlin, Allyson, Evan, Jackson, DJ, Christopher, Nichole, Kayla, and Amber-and 10 great-grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with her unconditional love.
Sandra was born to the late James and Dorothy (Hickman) Eberling. She is remembered by her seven siblings: Deborah Hoerig, Sharon Hawkins, Tracey Reakes, Susan Snode, James Eberling Jr., David Eberling, and Mark Eberling.
Visitation for Sandra will be held on November 20, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home in Sebring, Ohio. A funeral service will follow immediately at 11:00 AM with Pastor Joseph Sabella officiating. The burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit, Ohio.
