Scott Halstead

Scott D.W. Halstead, 34, of Salem passed away at his home after a long battle with Brain Cancer on Wednesday, July 21, 2010. Scott was born in Salem on November 6, 1975 the son of David T. Halstead and Janet (Brooks) Ford; he attended United Schools and graduated from Maryvale High School in Phoenix, AZ. and was a United States Marine Corps Veteran. Besides his mother, Janet Ford, he is survived by his wife Leigh Halstead whom he married on August 30, 1997, two sons John Halstead and Karl Halstead and a daughter Alysa Halstead all of the home in Salem. He is also survived by three brothers Jerry Halstead of Salem, David Halstead of East Palestine, Daniel Halstead of East Palestine and two sisters; Lani Salvino of Salem and Tracy Ridge of Hanoverton. Services will be held on Monday, July 26, 2010 at the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Salem at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Stanley Grabill officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 25th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Brown Funeral Home in Salem and also the hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Woodsdale Cemetery.
