Shirley Elaine Beeler, 86, of Salem passed away on April 30, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown. She was born in Salem, on March 5, 1927 the daughter of the late Charles B. and Lena (Maple) Mangus, she was a 1945 graduate of Salem High School and worked as a Switchboard Operator for Ohio Bell, as well as Kresge, the Fiesta Shop and Fisherâs Big Wheel. She was a member of the Salem First United Methodist Church, Eastern Star and a past Girl Scout Leader. Survivors include her husband of 68 years Don Beeler, two daughters Karen Ruth Izenour and Linda Louise Beeler all of Salem, 3 grandchildren; Don (Marla) Weber of Chillicothe, OH, Gary (Debbie) Weber of Salem and Matthew Weber of Union, SC and 6 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by 2 sisters Ruth Valent, and Geraldine Mangus. Per her request Shirleyâs wishes included cremation with a memorial service to be held on Thursday, June 27th at Salem First United Methodist Church at 1:00 PM with Pastor P.
